An NHS Trust in London seeks a Consultant in Dermatology for a substantive or fixed-term 12-month position. The role involves clinical responsibilities, teaching, and research within a renowned dermatology service. The Trust offers excellent facilities, a supportive environment, and a picturesque living area with quality schools and low costs.
I have been assigned by an NHS Trust in London to help them recruit a Consultant in Dermatology on either a Substantive or NHS Fixed Term basis for 12 months.
The Trust's Dermatology service is widely recognized for its comprehensive offerings, excellent facilities (including a dedicated library and Day Treatment Unit), and supportive management. Outpatient services are delivered across three main hospital sites, with satellite clinics at community hospitals and GP surgeries. Specialist outpatient clinics include Contact Dermatitis, Paediatric Allergy, Vulval Dermatoses, Paediatric Dermatology, Biologics/Drug Monitoring, Cosmetic Camouflage, Mohs Surgery, and PDT. Joint clinics are held with Plastic Surgery, and weekly MDT meetings are conducted via Microsoft Teams. There is also a dedicated Day Unit for dermatology patients. Inpatients are admitted under joint care with medical physicians, supervised by Specialist Dermatology Outreach nurses. Nurse-led clinics cover topical treatments, dressings, wound healing, cryotherapy, iontophoresis, phototherapy, PDT, and minor surgery.
