A leading healthcare provider in Barnstaple is seeking a Consultant in Cardiology with a sub-specialty in advanced echocardiography. This full-time role involves providing cardiology services and contributing to specialist clinical services. The successful candidate will work within a dedicated multi-disciplinary team, ensuring high standards of patient care, and will have opportunities for professional development. Job summary: We are inviting applications for a Consultant in Cardiology, with a sub specialty interest in advanced echo (TOE/stress echo). There may be opportunities to contribute to cross-sectional cardiac imaging (CT/cardiac MRI) and heart failure services and to support further development of specialist clinical services e.g. Adult Congenital Heart Disease or Cardiomyopathy/Inherited Cardiac Conditions. The successful applicants will provide cardiology services in North Devon, with opportunities for cross-site working at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. The post is supported by a multi-disciplinary team including heart failure clinical nurse specialists/ACPs, cardiac rehabilitation clinical nurse specialists and arrhythmia care co-ordinators. The department has Specialist Trainees, Core Medical Trainees/IMTs and Foundation Doctors, rotating within their respective Training Programmes.
