Job description

As a Consultant Adult Psychiatrist at RTN Medical, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychiatric input across the ADHD assessment and treatment pathway. You will assess and confirm diagnoses, initiate and review ADHD medication where appropriate, and support post-diagnostic care in collaboration with our MDT. You will play a vital clinical role in ensuring safe, effective, and person‑centred treatment for clients across the lifespan, with flexibility to tailor your caseload around your specialist strengths and interests. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of an ambitious, values‑led service with a strong clinical culture and a commitment to innovation and quality.

Additional Information:

RTN Medical welcomes applications from Consultant Psychiatrists who are on the GMC Specialist Register in General Adult Psychiatry and passionate about advancing excellence in ADHD assessment and treatment. For clinicians with limited ADHD‑specific experience, full training, supervision, and mentorship will be provided to ensure confidence and consistency in practice. Where additional training is required, an initially reduced salary may apply, with review and progression as competencies are achieved

  • Document clinical rationale and decisions clearly within formulation summaries and treatment plans.
  • Provide ongoing psychiatric input for clients requiring extended support or with comorbidities.
  • Contribute to integrated care planning and liaise with GPs and external professionals to ensure continuity.
  • Attend monthly MDT meetings to contribute psychiatric input to case discussions.
  • Supervise and collaborate with psychologists, nurses, NDPs, and operational teams.
