Do you have experience managing large-scale civil engineering projects within a highly regulated environment (nuclear, energy, or similar)? Can you demonstrate a strong understanding of nuclear safety culture and compliance with ONR or equivalent regulatory standards?

Your duties and responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day‑to‑day construction activities on‑site, ensuring delivery against programme, budget, and quality targets.
  • Embed nuclear safety culture and ensure compliance with client standards and ONR regulations.
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure all works meet specifications and nuclear quality documentation requirements.
  • Champion health, safety, and environmental compliance under CDM and nuclear site licence conditions.
  • Liaise with client representatives, regulators, and internal teams to resolve technical challenges.
  • Provide accurate progress reports and forecasts to senior management.
Qualifications & experience
  • Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience delivering major infrastructure projects in regulated environments (nuclear preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and UK nuclear safety regulations.
  • CSCS, SMSTS, and relevant nuclear safety training (e.g., Nuclear Safety Passport).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance.
Nice to have
  • Experience in reinforced concrete structures and heavy civil works.
  • Previous involvement in nuclear or high‑hazard projects.
  • Familiarity with digital construction tools and BIM.
