We are currently looking to recruit talented lawyers with upwards of 2+ years PQE to join our market leading Transactional Construction & Engineering Team in Manchester.

The Manchester team is led by partner Mark Job and fellow projects and construction partner Graham Alty, also Manchester based, leads the Projects team across Europe and the Middle East. Both have now been ranked as Leading Individuals in UK and international guides for many years, with many others in the team, such as Legal Directors Joanne Falencka and Laura Tetlow, often also being recognised.

Current Work Highlights

• Owner/operators and contractors on over £60billion of new build nuclear power station projects including advising the developer on Hinkley Point C;
• The developer on the Silvertown Quays project, with an estimated value over £5 billion and reported as the largest development project in Europe it comprises the regeneration of the former Royal London Docks in London, including dockside community, performance and cultural facilities, a new river bridge and over 6,000 homes;
• Contractors on over £20 billion of contracts for the HS2 rail project and a $3billion rail project in Uganda;
• Owner/investors on several iconic Hotel projects across Europe including the Db Group, City Centre Project in the luxury resort of St George's Bay Malta to include a Hardrock Hotel and Café, two 17+ storey residential towers, a nightclub, lido and Malta's largest shopping mall.

The Candidate Required

We are now looking to appoint ambitious lawyers qualified in England and Wales with 2+ years PQE who wish to advance their abilities in Construction & Engineering, and knowledge at a top tier international law practice.

The successful applicant will:

• ideally have gained experience in a large commercial firm and have completed work in construction, projects or similar
• have a strong academic background and excellent communication and organisational skills
• have good commercial awareness and is client focused
• be a team player with the ability to forge strong working relationships with colleagues in an agile environment
• be inquisitive and eager to learn and develop their knowledge and skills
• be well-organised and have good project management skills
