In Britain, this role helps drive the UK's journey to Net Zero by ensuring technical clarity and implementing robust Configuration Management processes. Your efforts will directly contribute to the design, construction, and eventual operation of Sizewell C – a cutting‑edge nuclear power plant that will support the nation's energy needs for decades.

What You’ll Do
  • Support the execution of the overarching Configuration Management Plan, ensuring a balanced application tailored to programme‑specific scope.
  • Implement scope‑specific CM plans that integrate with the overarching plan.
  • Implement and improve CM arrangements (standards, procedures, guidance, forms and tools) to ensure adequate configuration control.
  • Review and author relevant CM arrangements (procedures and guidance).
  • Support self‑assessments of arrangements and procedures.
  • Simplify complex technical issues to support smarter, faster decisions.
  • Maintain configuration control, ensuring every element of the project aligns with standards and processes.
  • Provide hands‑on support for change control procedures, audits and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure CM plans are applied effectively across the project.
  • Train and empower colleagues to embed best practices throughout the project.
What You’ll Bring
  • Essential – Demonstrated experience in configuration or engineering management, strong communication skills, and a solid understanding of engineering principles.
  • Desirable – Knowledge of CM standards, an engineering degree (or equivalent experience), exposure to large, multi‑disciplinary projects, experience working in the nuclear sector, and 3D modelling experience.
  • Skills – Experience in configuration management; strong coordination skills across technical disciplines; detail‑oriented, collaborative and results‑driven; proactive and independent work with sound judgment on reporting/escalation; strong interpersonal and written communication skills; solid understanding of engineering principles.

Location & Working Pattern

Sizewell C – The power of good for Britain. Location: London or Bristol (hybrid working arrangements). We operate on an office‑based contract model but support hybrid working where possible. You should be based within reasonable travel distance of the office and able to attend in person when business needs require, typically three days per week, though this may vary by team or project. Flexibility to be on site when needed is essential.

Salary

£54,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus, market‑leading pension (up to 15% employer contributions) and other flexible benefits.
