The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and visionary Computing and Business Teacher to join a high-performing school in Leeds. This is a full-time position for an educator who is ready to hit the ground running. Essential Skills
  • Deep knowledge of Computer Science theory and Business principles.
  • Using student performance data to inform interventions.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills for engaging students, parents, and staff.
  • The ability to pivot lessons based on real-time student understanding.
  • Working effectively within a department to share best practices.
  • Staying motivated and positive in a fast-paced educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons across Computing and Business.
  • Foster a classroom culture aligned with the core values of Resilience, Integrity, Trust, and Ambition.
  • Assess and mark student work regularly, providing constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students for national examinations (GCSE, BTEC, or equivalent).
  • Develop and update innovative Schemes of Learning.
  • Monitor and report on the progress and attainment of all assigned students.
  • Act as a Form Tutor, providing pastoral care and support to a dedicated group of students.
  • Participate in departmental meetings to contribute to the Subject Development Plan.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion team to support students with additional needs.
  • Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and peer observations.
