The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Python and Open CV, along with experience in computer vision and machine learning frameworks. Responsibilities include adding functionality and improving code, while contributing to architectural design. On behalf of our Norwegian customer in aquatech domain, we are looking for a Computer vision/Python developer to join their product team remotely.
Submerged AS was established in 2018 to develop a system solution for automatic counting of salmon lice and measurement of biomass. It is an aquatech company delivering camera based sensors for monitoring of salmon and trout in aquaculture. Sensor platform "RollEye" automatically measures the size of the fishes and counts sealice. For sensors all data processing is happening in the sensor, at the edge, allowing for scalability in deployment and data processing. The sensors are all running a stack of neural networks which transforms the biological information of the fish into the digital space.
In recent years, the company has developed a product portfolio with a focus on cameras and optical technology used to improve the everyday lives of Norwegian fish farmers and Norwegian fish, as well as help move the research front in marine biology.
We are seeking a talented engineer with experience in Computer Vision who wants to be in the development of next generation smart camera based sensor solutions for the aquaculture industry. The successful candidate has analytical skills and the ability to use them in practical problems.
