An exciting 18 month defined term contract opportunity is available for a Computational Scientist to join the Franklin Lab, at Altos’ Cambridge Institute of Science (Cambridge, UK).
The group seeks to recruit a Computational Scientist to join a multidisciplinary and collaborative team at Altos Cambridge that aims to understand the basis of adult stem cell ageing and how it can be reversed. The main role of the candidate will be to provide computational biology support for a number of projects taking place within the group.
About the Franklin Lab at Altos
The Franklin Lab at Altos is led by Robin Franklin, FRS, who has made many pioneering discoveries on the mechanisms by which adult stem cells contribute to the regenerative biology of the CNS, and specifically how CNS progenitors replace lost oligodendrocytes, how their function declines with aging and how this can be reversed.

We are looking for a Scientist / Senior Scientist, Computational Biology to join our Lab. Qualified applicants will have a PhD in life sciences with significant computational experience OR in a quantitative field (e.g. computational biology, mathematics, physics) with significant biological background. In addition, the candidates will have strong training in most of the following fields/areas of expertise:
