A local authority in London is seeking a Community Safety Officer to lead and coordinate community safety initiatives. You will work with partners to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour, focusing on prevention and problem-solving. Key responsibilities include coordinating crime prevention work and developing safety plans. Applicants should have strong communication skills and a good understanding of relevant legislation. This full-time role offers a salary range of £43,545 – £52,767 and may allow for flexible working.

You will lead and coordinate community safety initiatives within Wandsworth, working strategically with partners to reduce crime, anti-social behaviour, and improve community cohesion. Your role supports the objectives of the Safer and Stronger Communities Team, focusing on prevention, partnership working, and problem‑solving to make communities safer. The Service works on key themes including Serious Violence, Offender Management, Anti‑Social Behaviour, Neighbourhoods, Domestic Abuse, Prevent and Radicalisation and Hate Crime.
The Community Safety Officer role is non‑uniformed and predominantly non‑enforcement as it is a strategic and partnership role which sits within the Community Safety Service and reports directly into the Community Safety Partnership Board.
