A local government authority in Burton upon Trent is seeking a Community Safety Officer to monitor CCTV operations, respond to emergency activations, and provide a visible presence in the community. Candidates must have an SIA licence for CCTV operation, a current driving licence, and appropriate DBS checks. This full-time role involves shifts covering 24/7 public safety efforts, with a salary range of £28,598 - £31,022.

Other duties include deploying to public safety incidents, proactively and reactively attending anti‑social behaviour and crime locations (including deployment of a CCTV van), auditing public rescue equipment and water‑safety signage, and providing a security presence at council meetings. Officers also support local communities as a visible presence, providing reassurance, advice and guidance.
Officers will work closely with internal colleagues and external partners including Merseyside Police, Merseyside Fire & Rescue Service and HM Coastguard.
