Overview

Global Highland are delighted to be working in partnership with our client, a leading provider in the broadband sector, to recruit a Community Marketing Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to join a business at the heart of connectivity in the Highlands, with a role that combines relationship-building, community engagement, and brand development. If you love being out and about liaising with people then this is a perfect role for you. You will be representing our client within key Highland settlements, working directly with local communities to increase visibility, strengthen trust, and provide valuable insights that support business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver local community engagement, including sponsorships, third-party events, community hubs, schools, sports clubs, and local groups.
  • Enhance brand awareness and positive sentiment in target communities, identifying opportunities where support can deliver genuine local benefit.
  • Proactively engage with communities both face-to-face and via online groups.
  • Manage affiliate programmes, ensuring activities drive uptake of broadband services.
  • Track, review, and report on engagement activity, building a knowledge base of best practice.
  • Create positive PR value through partnerships and community success stories.
  • Provide on-the-ground support to customers and key stakeholders as required.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about the community and who thrives in people focused roles. If you have experience in community events, outreach or marketing then this is preferable.

Qualifications and Skills
  • A community-driven mindset with a strong ability to build trusted partnerships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, confident working with a wide range of stakeholders - from MPs to local group leaders.
  • A full UK driving licence (essential, as this role is field-based across the South Highlands).
