Job summary

A national charity for dementia is seeking volunteers to engage with the community and raise awareness about dementia. As an Ambassador, you will assist in fundraising, support local events, and help inspire others in your area. A passion for making a difference is essential. This role offers flexibility with a commitment of 4 hours per month.

Qualifications

  • Over the age of 16 and passionate about aiding those affected by dementia.
  • Experience or interest in fundraising activities.
  • Good communication skills for engaging with people.

About the Role

If you’re looking for a varied and flexible role which helps us to reach and support more people affected by dementia than ever before, look no further!

You’ll volunteer with our Fundraising teams to raise awareness in your local community and assist our supporters to raise funds. You’ll help us to identify potential new supporters, to build brand awareness and to inspire people in your local area to know more about dementia. By being one of our Ambassadors, you’ll put your passion for making a difference into action by engaging with our supporters in a variety of ways such as attending events or cheque presentations and helping with bucket collections.

Support your local Regional Fundraiser by attending events across Worcestershire and Herefordshire. Ideally you are able to travel up to an hour to attend an event. Your local Regional Fundraiser will always endeavour to offer you opportunities which are local to you. The types of events you will be supporting with are cheque presentations, Golf Club charity days, group/club/corporate lunch or dinner events and information stalls. We ask for a commitment of 4 hours per month.

You’ll be great for the role if:
  • You are passionate about making a difference in your local community and to the lives of people affected by dementia
  • You have experience of or an interest in fundraising and raising awareness
  • You have good communication skills and enjoy engaging with people
  • You are self-motivated, organised and confident to volunteer independently
  • You are over the age of 16
