Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and grooming.

Overview

Community Care & Support Workers: Full & part time hours available. £12.60 per hour (+ 40p per mile for drivers).

Ethicare Home Support Ltd are a private home care provider, based in Pudsey, LS28. Our service provides personal and social care to vulnerable adults, young people and children in their homes, by assisting with daily activities, administering medications, personal care, household tasks, and providing companionship with individual needs, always maintaining dignity, respect and promoting independence.

Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.
  • Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and snacks and assisting with eating and drinking.
  • Household Tasks: Cleaning the home, washing clothes, shopping, and running errands.
  • Medication Support: Reminding and/or assisting with medication.
  • Mobility Assistance: Supporting with mobility issues, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
  • Social Support: Providing companionship, encouraging social activities, and assisting with communication.
  • Communication: Reporting progress, concerns, and observations to our Assistant Manager & Home Care Manager.
  • Documentation: Keeping records of tasks completed, observations, and medication administration.
  • Emergency Assistance: Providing assistance in case of emergencies.
  • Promoting Independence: Encouraging client independence and preventing isolation.
  • Accompanying to appointments: doctors’, dentists & hospital appointments.
Shifts
  • 7am – 2pm shift (Breakfast & Lunch Calls).
  • 4pm – 10.00pm shift (Tea & Bed Calls).

We do ask for our Carers to be able to work alternate weekend, with a day off during the week to ensure good continuity of care to our service users.

Requirements / Preferences

Car Drivers preferred—However, if you do not have your own car, we will endeavour to find local work for you, but you must be prepared to travel on public transport to your care calls.
