Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care
- Support clients with washing, bathing, showering, grooming, and oral hygiene
- Assist with dressing and undressing
- Provide safe moving and handling support (using equipment if required)
- Assist with continence care, toileting, and incontinence management
- Support with medication administration or prompting, following care plans
2. Daily Living Support
- Prepare meals and support with eating and drinking
- Support with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, bed making
- Assist with shopping, errands, or escorting to appointments
- Support with maintaining a safe and comfortable home environment
3. Emotional & Social Support
- Provide companionship, conversation, and reassurance
- Encourage social interaction, hobbies, and community involvement
- Support with cognitive stimulation, especially for those living with dementia
- Promote independence and dignity at all times
4. Care Planning & Record Keeping
- Follow personalised care plans accurately
- Record care delivered using paper or electronic systems
- Report concerns, incidents, or changes in client health/wellbeing immediately
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
5. Safeguarding & Compliance
- Protect clients from abuse and uphold safeguarding policies
- Promote and follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Work within CQC regulations, company policies, and risk assessments
- Uphold health and safety practices at all times

Pay:
£15 to £16 per hour
Paid travel time and mileage allowance
Shifts:
Mixture of mornings and evenings
Alternate weekend availability essential
Hours are on a fixed or flexible rota
Experience & Requirements
Essential:
- Right to work in the UK
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness to undertake Care Certificate training
- Enhanced DBS check
- Full UK licence with access to own car
Desirable:
- Experience in elderly care or similar roles
- NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
- Moving & Handling and Medication training
