Job summary

A local radio station in Belfast is seeking a Community & Artist Liaison Assistant to serve as the connection between the station and its network of artists and community partners. The role involves communication, organisation, and relationship building. No previous experience is required as full training will be provided. This position is temporary, offering up to 25 hours per week with flexible hours possible upon approval. Compensation ranges from £7.55 to £12.21 per hour depending on age. Community & Artist Liaison Assistant (Coordination)

The Employer is: RADIO STAR

The Community & Artist Liaison Assistant will act as the key link between the station and its network of contributors, artists, and community partners. This role is focused on communication, organisation, and relationship‑building. It will provide the participant with valuable experience in coordination, event planning, and creative project support, while playing an important part in developing the cultural impact of the station. No previous experience in events, media, or promotion is required – full training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Acting as first point of contact for show hosts and guest contributors, ensuring they feel supported and informed.
  • Coordinating the scheduling of live and pre‑recorded shows, and updating the station timetable.
  • Collecting bios, artwork, and track lists from contributors for use in broadcasts and promotions.
  • Assisting with social media and communications to promote upcoming shows and station activity.
  • Helping to organise occasional in‑person recordings or events, liaising with venues and participants.
  • Gathering feedback from artists, contributors, and listeners to support programming improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
