A premium golf and country club in Macclesfield is seeking an enthusiastic Commis Chef to join their kitchen team. In this role, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring high-quality dishes are consistently produced while maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills within a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment. Prior cooking experience in the hospitality industry is preferred, alongside relevant food safety qualifications. This role requires availability for varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Commis Chef to join our kitchen team. As a key part of our culinary operation, you will assist the Sous Chef in food preparation, ensuring the highest quality dishes are consistently produced. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your culinary skills in a professional and fast‑paced kitchen environment.
In this role, you will assist the Sous Chef with food preparation to specification, ensuring high‑quality dishes. You will help source necessary ingredients and small equipment items and minimise wastage. Consistently maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation is key and you’ll ensure safe food handling practices are followed. You will report directly to the Head Chef, participate in departmental meetings and perform any tasks assigned. Additionally, you will assist during busy periods, communicate and participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
