BCL Legal is pleased to be assisting a top ranked international law firm seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial Technology team in Birmingham. This Commercial Technology Solicitor opportunity is offered on a full-time, permanent basis with flexible working options accommodated and hybrid working as standard. Responsibilities

• Work on complex, high-value technology transactions, including IT outsourcing, cloud services, automation, AI systems, and blockchain projects.
• Advise clients across multiple sectors, including major global financial institutions and leading tech providers.
• Support the delivery of some of the largest and most strategic technology and outsourcing projects across the UK and internationally.
• Be involved in advising on the regulatory impact of tech implementation, particularly in financial services and AI.
• Play a key role in supporting business development, delivering client training and thought leadership.
• Collaborate closely with teams specialising in data protection, IP and strategic commercial contracts.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years' PQE as a Solicitor with a strong emphasis on technology and outsourcing contracts.
• Demonstrable experience advising on a range of IT agreements including SaaS, cloud, BPO and other tech-driven commercial arrangements.
• A keen interest in emerging technologies including AI and blockchain.
• Solid knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework applicable to tech (including financial services if applicable).
• Strong technical skills, commercial acumen, and a collaborative, client-facing approach.
• A strong academic background and enthusiasm for innovation and client development.
