This role bridges commercial, finance, production, and procurement teams to ensure pricing is accurate, competitive, and profitable.

You’ll support the full pricing process—from quote generation and financial modelling to post-launch analysis—providing vital insights to sales and leadership. This is a high-impact position with opportunities to influence strategic decisions and drive business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain pricing models and tools that reflect true cost-to-serve and margin requirements.
  • Prepare and review customer quotes and tenders, ensuring alignment with internal costings and strategic pricing guidelines.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Production, Procurement, and Technical teams to gather accurate cost data (raw materials, labour, packaging, overheads).
  • Analyse pricing performance by customer, product line, and market segment to identify profitability trends and optimisation opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and market dynamics to support strategic pricing decisions.
  • Ensure pricing structures comply with regulatory requirements and customer agreements.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) pricing models and financial viability assessments.
  • Provide insights for commercial negotiations and contract renewals.
  • Lead pricing governance processes, including documentation, version control, and audit trails.
  • Produce regular pricing reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience in pricing, commercial finance, product costing, or margin analysis—within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, FMCG, or CDMO environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional qualification (or part-qualified) such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, margin analysis, and financial modelling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, financial modelling).
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Dynamics) and pricing/quoting tools.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of margin management.
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with sales, finance, and production teams.
