Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
Commercial and Procurement Services (CPS) performs a critical role, working with the Council's operations to achieve value for money while balancing cost, citizen or service outcomes and responsibilities including sustainability, community benefit, fair work practices and developing a vibrant local economy. An opportunity has arisen within CPS to join the Commercial Operations Team.
You may be involved in key control functions such as the Council's Purchase to Pay (P2P) systems, reviewing contract or purchase card spend, updating electronic catalogues, receiving contract register entries, ensuring compliance with the Council's Contract Standing Orders and providing advice to customers in relation to non-contract orders.
The successful candidate will join a team of six Commercial Operations Officers, reporting directly to the Senior Commercial Operations Officer and liaising with all CPS team members as applicable. You will:
You will need to be professional, resilient, adaptable and responsive to change, with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to adapt communication styles for different customer groups and situations. A good understanding of the Council and its objectives is expected.
