Senior Commercial Manager West London - 12 Months - Up to GBP600 per day (DOE)

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Commercial Manager to work on a prestigious rail project based in West London.

Our client is a well established company, who deliver mechanical and electrical engineering expertise on large scale infrastructure projects in the UK.

The ideal individual will work within their commercial team with specific focus to lead on Commercial Management of change, value engineering, optioneering, mitigation strategies measures and controls.

This is a 12 month contract, offering a competitive daily rate of up to GBP600 per day (DOE).

The role is an integral part of the project Commercial team and will manage and lead the Commercial Management Change process working closely and collaboratively with the wider technical and construction delivery teams. The SCM/CM (Change Lead) will hold key responsibilities associated with the commercial and financial success of the project, ensuring that all change, value engineering and optioneering related opportunities are maximised and secured including full agreement with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • NEC3 Option C Contract management and administration.
  • Commercial reporting associated with change management.
  • Establish and manage entitlement, with key focus on gaining full entitlement under the terms of the subcontract.
  • Measurement and Compensation Event Quotation development and pricing through to formal quotation submission.
  • Assessment of change impacts against the program.
  • Development, management, and reporting of project change metrics and dashboards.
  • Liaison and negotiation with the customer s commercial and/or project team.
  • Establishing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise and assisting the Commercial, Technical and Construction Delivery teams with the implementation of the commercial procedures and reporting to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Ensure appropriate commercial records are maintained in line with the contract requirements and oversee any contractual issues.
  • Manage and lead all Change Management meetings.
  • Manage and lead relevant Risk Reduction meetings.
  • Investigate and draft contract communications and notices including Early Warning Notices, notification of Compensation Events, General Communications
  • Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the Commercial team and wider Technical and Construction Delivery teams.
  • As required by the Commercial Project Director, manage, monitor and report on commercial and cost reporting aspects of allocated projects and portfolio of works.
  • As required by the Commercial Project Director, support the programme and project teams to ensure full compliance with contract and corporate governance rules.
