JOB TITLE: Commercial Contracts Solicitor

The role is with an ambitious and well-established law firm seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join its dynamic team. This is a strategic senior‑level hire offering a clear pathway to partnership, either now or in the near future. The successful candidate will support the Team Leader, drive growth of the Commercial Contracts offering, and help shape the future direction of the team. You will manage your own caseload while contributing to mentoring, team development, and business growth. Core areas of work include commercial contracts (including supply, distribution, SaaS, and licensing agreements), intellectual property (registration, protection, and enforcement) and data protection/privacy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload in commercial contracts and related areas.
• Support the Team Leader and contribute to mentoring, team development, and business growth.
• Work on core areas of work: commercial contracts (supply, distribution, SaaS, licensing), intellectual property, and data protection.

Candidate requirements

• A solicitor with 4+ years’ PQE (or equivalent) in commercial law.
• Strong foundation in commercial contracts, with experience in IP and data protection.
• Commercially astute with a pragmatic, client-focused approach.
• Comfortable advising a broad client base, from SMEs to global corporations.
• Able to work independently and mentor junior lawyers.
• Proactive approach to business development and client relationship management.
• Adaptable communication style, tailoring advice and service to individual client needs.
