Overview

You\'ll be responsible for underwriting new business, renewals, and MTAs across a portfolio of Commercial Combined, Property Owners, and Unoccupied SME risks. The focus of the role is to provide high-quality service to broker partners and maintaining strong technical standards.

Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and quote for Commercial Combined, Property Owners, and Unoccupied SME risks
  • Manage new business, renewals, and MTAs in line with underwriting authority
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing brokers
  • Negotiate pricing and terms in a competitive and professional manner
  • Work closely with brokers to develop business and support cross-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate with the IT team to support system enhancements and product testing
Requirements
  • Experience in commercial/SME insurance underwriting
  • Proven ability to underwrite risks up to £10m sum insured
  • Solid understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
