Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join their commercial team, working remotely and covering Birmingham with occasional travel further afield. The role offers a diverse workload and is ideal for someone looking to grow their career in a flexible, friendly, and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out a wide range of commercial building surveys across various property sectors.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed, technically robust reports including:
    • Dilapidations
    • Schedules of Condition
    • Acquisition Surveys
    • Technical Due Diligence
    • Planned Preventative Maintenance Reports
  • Administer contracts and advise clients on building repairs and refurbishments.
  • Provide clear, concise, and justified conclusions and recommendations.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the wider team including structural engineers, residential surveyors, and general practice colleagues.
  • Engage with clients through professional communication, reporting, and advice.
  • Maintain high professional and regulatory standards in accordance with RICS/CIOB guidelines.
Candidate Requirements
  • AssocRICS / MRICS / MCIOB Building Surveyor
  • Experience in a broad range of commercial surveying disciplines
  • Confident in preparing detailed, client-focused survey reports
  • Dilapidation experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Based in the West Midlands
  • UK driving licence
