Overview

Citi Commercial Bank (CCB) is a fast growth business with a vision to significantly scale up over the next five years and beyond. Coverage of companies in the fast growing Digital/FinTech space is a core part of this strategy. The primary responsibilities for the Relationship Manager - Digital will be to develop new banking relationships and to provide solutions for existing Digital/FinTech CCB clients operating in the payments ecosystem. The job involves day-to-day cooperation with Citi colleagues in various countries, including working with the credit underwriting team, subsidiary relationship managers, product and implementation teams. Responsibilities also include active engagement in projects related to additional products and functionalities offered by the CCB team across the region for Digital/FinTech companies.

Main responsibilities
  • Acquire new, multi-product Digital/FinTech customers for the Bank;
  • Manage relationships and provide service for CCB Digital customers in the UK;
  • Develop proper account planning to determine and plan the future relationship, business opportunities, and products to sell;
  • Work closely with the Sector Head, the wider UK CCB team, CCB Cash Sales/Transactors, Markets experts and junior staff on a daily basis;
  • Monitor and support the products’ implementation process;
  • Manage customers and transactions in the CRM platform;
  • Cooperate with Banking Capital Markets and Advisory teams to address opportunities within the Digital space;
  • Interact frequently with other CCB teams across the globe;
  • Verify adherence to global Know Your Customer (KYC) standards during onboarding and periodic reviews;
  • Maintain overall control and accountability for the managed cross-border transactions referrals;
  • Participate in structuring new product solutions for Digital/FinTech clients and the industry segment.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills / Languages
  • Excellent knowledge of the Digital/FinTech market, customers, ecosystem, competition, and local regulations;
  • Good knowledge of corporate finance, FX, cash management and trade products where needed;
  • Thorough understanding of banking products for digital/technology customers;
  • Experience in Commercial / Relationship Banking with international customers;
  • Ability to assess the credit risk of digital/technology companies;
  • Experience of the implementation / onboarding process;
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate across the wider UK CCB team and the Global Digital Team, and to seek support from appropriate team members as required;
  • Analytical skills to explore issues and generate solutions, using diverse environmental and business information to identify priorities and deliver benefits;
  • Ability to engage appropriately at all levels and build relationships with a variety of business and external sources.
