Overview

CNC Turner - Night Shift
Location: Andover
Salary: £30,000- £40,000 + 30% Shift Premium(DOE)
Hours: Mon - Wed 4.15pm-4.30am Thurs 4.15pm - 9pm
Overtime: Available

The Role

We’re working with a respected precision engineering company in Andover who are looking for an experienced CNC Turner with strong Fanuc programming skills to join their team. If you’re a detail-focused machinist who takes pride in producing top-quality components, this could be the ideal role for you.

In this position, you’ll programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls, manufacturing precision parts from a variety of materials to tight tolerances. You’ll be an important part of a skilled team, contributing to a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects.

Responsibilities
  • Programme, set, and operate CNC turning machines (Fanuc).
  • Read and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Select and set appropriate tooling and work-holding devices.
  • Carry out first-off and in-process inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
  • Work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a CNC Turner.
  • Proficient in Fanuc programming (essential).
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings/specifications.
  • Experience machining a range of materials including steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
  • Solid understanding of tooling selection and machining principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Able to work to tight tolerances.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (advantageous).
