Overview

CNC Operator Milling - Day Shifts

We are currently recruiting for a CNC operator for a leading Engineering company based in Central Birmingham They are looking for an experienced CNC operator who is available immediately, someone who is looking for a career on day shifts and the opportunity to work with an innovative team who offer engineering solutions across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, Load and monitor CNC milling machines and equipment
  • Deburring and then Quality inspecting parts
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to ensure components meet specifications.
  • Use measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometres, and verniers to check and maintain quality standards.
  • Be able to work with a range of materials
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to resolve technical or machining issues.
  • Perform basic machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised at all times
  • Be able to work to lead times
Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator is a must
  • Experience working with Milling machines in an Engineering / manufacturing environment.
  • Strong ability to read, interpret, and work from technical/engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Skilled in the use of measuring instruments (calipers, micrometres, verniers, etc.).
  • Experience working with a variety of materials
  • High attention to detail with a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement.
What we offer
  • This will be a temporary to Permanent position working 39 hours a week
  • Day shift hours 8.00am – 4.30pm Monday – Thursday & Friday 8.00am – 3.30pm
  • Pay rate £13.00ph
  • Overtime available
