Overview

CNC Miller Setter Operator - Bristol. Salary: Up to £32,500 DOE + Benefits. MechTech Professionals are recruiting a CNC Miller Setter Operator for a long-established aerospace precision engineering company based in Bristol. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family-owned business with a strong reputation for quality and innovation, operating in the aerospace industry since 1938.

Responsibilities
  • Setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines using Heidenhain controls.
  • Producing complex, high-precision components from a range of metallic materials.
  • Working to tight aerospace tolerances and ensuring all work meets strict quality standards.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to deliver accurate machining operations.
  • Ensuring parts are produced in line with planned set/run times and delivery schedules.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities and contributing to 5S in your area.
  • Assisting operators where required, including tool setting, offsets, and troubleshooting.
What you need
  • Proven track record of setting and operating 3/4/5 axis CNC milling machines.
  • Experience with Heidenhain controls and complex component manufacture.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and use a wide range of precision measuring equipment.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and right-first-time production.
  • Aerospace experience desirable but not essential.
  • DBS check will be required.
