Overview

Job Title: CNC Miller Programmer/ Setter/ Operator

Location: Blackburn, Lancashire

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week

Shift Pattern: Day shift: 7:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday; 7:30am - 12:30pm, Friday

Salary: £20ph DOE

Role Responsibilities
  • Program, set, and operate CNC machining centres equipped with HAAS, Mazatrol, Fanuc or Heidenhain controls within a medium to high-batch manufacturing environment.
  • Apply strong tooling knowledge to develop and optimise cutting strategies suited to high-volume production.
  • Produce high-tolerance components to customer and engineering specifications, especially for sectors such as automotive.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring components meet precise quality and dimensional requirements.
  • Work safely and efficiently, in compliance with company Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Time-served engineer with post-qualification experience in a technical machining environment.
  • Proven ability to program HAAS CNC machinery.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and machining processes.
  • Skilled in tooling selection, work holding methods, and cutting strategies for various materials, including exotic alloys.
  • Capable of interpreting detailed drawings and producing fully conforming components.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a successful team.
  • High commitment to Health & Safety and Quality standards.
