Job summary

A Precision Engineering company in Leeds is seeking an experienced CNC Miller and Programmer. The role offers a permanent position with a salary range of £16 to £17 per hour based on experience, working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday. Permanent role, £16p/hr to £17p/hr (DOE), 40 hrs per week, Mon‑Fri, 25 days holiday

About the Role

Are you an experienced CNC Miller and Programmer with sub‑contract machining experience, looking for a new role? If so, I am looking for you. My client, is a busy Precision Engineering company based in Leeds.

Ideally, you will be Apprentice Trained; however, my client will employ experienced, time‑served CNC Millers.

Key Requirements
  • Must be able to Program, Set, Edit and Operate
  • HAAS, Fanuc, Siemens or Prototrak experience is essential
  • Experience of Machining up to 4‑axis
  • Good experience of Sub‑Contract work
  • Knowledge of machining Stainless and Mild Steel, Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze & Plastic
  • Machining bespoke small to medium batch size components (2’s to 100’s)
  • CNC Turning experience would be beneficial
  • Working to tight tolerances
Day‑to‑Day Duties
  • Programming, setting and operating CNC’s to produce accurate, quality components
  • Effective and efficient use of all materials and tooling
  • Managing your work schedule
  • Self‑inspecting all manufactured components
  • Adhering to all Quality and H&S Standards
Working Hours

You will be contracted to 40 hrs per week working Monday to Thursday from 7am to 4.30pm with an early finish on a Friday. The starting Pay Rate for the role is experience‑dependent, ranging between £16p/hr up to £17p/hr. Overtime is available during busy periods throughout the week.
