Job summary

A leading UK manufacturing partner is seeking a skilled CNC Operator for night shifts in Redditch. The role involves operating 4 and 5 Axis Heller CNC machines to produce precision components for aerospace and defense sectors. The successful candidate must have experience with CNC tools and be adept at quality control. The position offers a starting pay of £14 per hour, increasing to £16 after 4 weeks, along with a shift allowance. Candidates must commit to the night shift hours from 20:00 to 06:00.

GMP Recruitment are proud to be in partnership with a long-established and highly reputable UK manufacturer of precision-forged and machined components for the aerospace, defence, and other high-specification sectors. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to operate Heller CNC machines to produce high quality components to customer specifications.

Shift Details

This position is weekday NIGHTS Monday Thursday 20:00pm - 06:00am starting at £14p/h plus shift allowance but will increase to £16p/h after 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Competently operate 4 and 5 Axis Heller CNC machines.
• Load raw materials into CNC machines and monitor operations.
• Modification of tool offsets.
• Loading and unloading of CNC machine tools.
• Working to process with no deviation.
• Quality control, working to customer specification.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with CNC machine tools (Siemens, Fanuc or Mazatrol controls) required.
• Experience of FASTEMS system highly desirable.
• Skilled in working to tight tolerances and in process measurements.
• Performing quality inspections.
• Ability to set up machines.
