Overview

Join us as a Cloud Lead Software Engineer within our Global Bank Engineering and Architecture team, where you’ll deliver secure, scalable technology solutions that drive real business impact. We’re seeking a dynamic individual to lead technical teams, shape product design, and champion best practices across the organization. In this role, you’ll develop secure code, review and mentor others, and collaborate to solve complex challenges. You’ll also advocate for diversity and inclusion, design robust test cases, ensure application quality, and help prevent issues before they arise — all while tracking key metrics and generating insightful reports.

Job responsibilities
  • Leverage hands-on experience with AWS to design and manage cloud infrastructure.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  • Work with a variety of database technologies, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in modern programming languages (Java, Python, etc.).
  • Build prototypes and reference implementations, and enjoy hands-on coding.
  • Apply advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Foster a positive developer experience and productivity for engineering teams.
  • Take initiative and thrive in ambiguous situations.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
  • Strong skills in Java (or Python) and SQL, with experience in scalable application and data processing.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS services (S3, EC2, Lambda, Glue) and cloud-based solution design.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and agile methodologies (CI/CD, resiliency, security).
  • Demonstrated expertise in software applications and technical processes (cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Exposure to Data Lake or Big Data technologies and large-scale data storage solutions.
  • Experience creating clear technical documentation and user guides.
