A financial services company in Greater London is seeking a Cloud Enablement Engineering Lead to provide leadership in Cloud technologies. This role involves leading a team of engineers, delivering Infrastructure as Code, and improving service automation. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of AWS/Azure services and experience in stakeholder engagement. We are recruiting for a Cloud Enablement Engineering Lead in our new Cloud Enablement Engineering function within Group Enterprise Technology to help drive delivering new Cloud technologies and improving the way the Cloud team provides services to its consumers.

This role will sit within Hosting and Service Platforms, reporting to the Cloud Enablement Lead. You will be working to support our Cloud Platform consumers onboard quickly, utilise known patterns and constructs & provide subject matter expertise across AWS, Azure & Container platforms. This is a fantastic opportunity that will provide you with a variety of work, supporting all of our Cloud Platform consumers by developing and enhancing our Cloud capabilities.
You’ll be at the forefront of delivering expertise, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) & assurance to market development teams while also working with peers in the Cloud Platform teams to improve service & automation for the best developer experience possible.
Additionally, you will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Cloud Engineers. As the team leader, you will be expected to guide your engineers through complex technical challenges, mentor them in career development and foster a collaborative culture. You will be expected to set clear objectives, delegate tasks appropriately based on individual strengths and facilitate regular communication within the team to keep everyone aligned. Monitoring progress, providing constructive feedback and managing performance reviews are also crucial elements of this leadership role. Furthermore, you will serve as the main point of contact between your team and other departments, ensuring smooth project delivery and resource coordination.
