A regional health board is seeking a qualified individual to support their Primary & Community Care Academy. The candidate will design and deliver clinical skills training, assess learning outcomes, and manage administrative tasks associated with training. This part-time, fixed-term role offers a salary ranging from £39,263 to £47,280 per annum, pro rata.

Job Summary

THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 5 MONTHS TO 31/3/26 DUE TO FUNDING.

Support the Primary & Community Care Academy and Clinical Education Team in the operational organisation and delivery of clinical skills education and training in relation to Powys Teaching Health Board.

Main duties

Design and deliver training and assess the competence of learning outcomes, and provide feedback when standards have not been met.

Record attendance and evaluation of training programmes provided in accordance with statutory requirements and enter onto appropriate databases.

Qualifications

Essential

  • NMC registered
  • Teaching qualification at Level 3 (minimum) or relevant experience at delivery of training
  • Evidence of relevant continuing professional development

Desirable

  • Teaching qualification e.g., PGCE
  • Competence to deliver education within the clinical skills framework

Experience

  • Significant post registration clinical experience within a clinical setting
  • Highly developed presentation / teaching skills
  • Experience of liaising with education providers and awarding bodies
  • An understanding of NHS policy relating to Registered Professionals and Support Worker roles
