The successful candidate will be helping to coordinate a portfolio of interventional and non‑interventional clinical research studies, recruiting patients into studies and delivering data and admin support to the clinical studies and wider team.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to support patients and work effectively with colleagues. You will be required to collaborate closely with leading investigators, research team members and the wider multidisciplinary team. The post‑holder will be part of a small and dynamic team, so must enjoy working independently as well as part of a team. Experience in surgical or oncology pathways is essential along with the ability to understand the complexities of clinical research, along with the ability to deliver excellent patient‑centred care.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage the care pathways for patients and carers participating in research.
  • Recruit, educate and monitor research participants and collect and document accurate data.
  • Work collaboratively with the research team and the wider multidisciplinary team in the management of your own caseload of research patients.
  • Act as a knowledgeable resource for staff, researchers, research participants and patients, alongside a working knowledge and compliance with local, national and international research regulations.
  • Contribute to the development of local policies related to all aspects of the research process and contribute to the training and supervision of staff and researchers.
