Job summary

A regional healthcare provider is seeking a qualified psychologist to support adult residents in East London experiencing psychosis. This role emphasizes collaboration with clinical psychologists and community services to enhance quality of life for individuals. Ideal candidates will hold a doctorate in clinical psychology and have extensive experience in psychological treatment across diverse settings. The position offers a salary of £64,156 to £71,148 per annum pro rata, subject to a DBS check.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology required.
  • Registered with HCPC necessary.
  • Experience of working with people experiencing psychosis is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Minimise risk of future breakdowns and maximise quality of life for individuals.
  • Work alongside clinical psychologists to support individuals per NICE guidelines.
  • Be jointly responsible for operational delivery of psychology provision.

Skills

Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology
Evidence of CPD as recommended by the BPS
Awareness of potential impact of discrimination and disadvantage on mental health
Competence in basic IT systems
Knowledge of psychological therapies

Education

Post graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology
Registered with HCPC
Post qualification training in CBTp, FI/family or systemic therapy
