The Lotus Maternal Therapeutic Outreach Team is recruiting a fixed term (or secondment for applicable candidates) 8a Clinical Psychologist for 12 months to join our team. This is an opportunity to develop skills within a specialist area and build confidence in working with service users who have experienced psychological trauma or bereavement. The role has arisen to cover maternity leave, with potential involvement in continuing development and delivery of a specialist birth trauma and perinatal loss service.
The Lotus Maternal Therapeutic Outreach Service launched in June 2021 as a pilot site to develop a Maternal Mental Health Service (MMHS) as part of the NHS Long Term Plan. We are now an established MMHS Service that often offers consultation and training for developing MMHS services and external agencies. This opportunity is available to be part of developing the service.
The Lotus service covers the whole of Norfolk and Waveney and provides a link between maternity services and other services involved in mental health care for women. This includes collaboration with the Perinatal Community Mental Health Team, Children’s Services and local community organisations.
We are a welcoming, skilled, friendly, and supportive team that values learning from each other. Ongoing training and development opportunities are provided, with a commitment to an environment where you can thrive.
