A national healthcare organization in London is seeking a skilled professional to support clinical commissioning policies and evaluative programmes. This role involves engaging with clinicians and stakeholders, drafting national policies, and managing projects to ensure timely delivery. Ideal candidates should have experience in policy development and strong project management abilities. The position offers a chance to contribute significantly to healthcare improvement.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team to support NHS England’s clinical commissioning policy and evaluative commissioning programmes for specialised services. You will be mentored by the National Deputy Medical Director (Specialised Services). Once experience has been gained you will be building, writing, consulting and publishing national clinical policy independently to standards of delivery. The duration of the role is in line with the resident doctors training year and will end on 4 August 2026.
Applicants from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band. NHS England holds a Sponsor Licence, which means that sponsorship may be possible provided Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
