Job summary

A prominent healthcare provider in Exeter is looking for a Senior Clinical Pharmacist. This role offers a unique opportunity for Band 6 pharmacists aiming for progression to Band 7, focusing on specialization while consolidating core practices. Responsibilities include providing specialized pharmacy services to inpatients and outpatients, and supporting the training of pharmacy staff and students. Ideally, candidates should possess hospital pharmacy experience and be working towards a clinical diploma. The position involves active participation in a 37.5-hour work week, including on-call duties.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital pharmacy setting with aspirations to develop as an independent prescriber.
  • Completion of clinical diploma is required or in progress.
  • Ability to supervise and train pharmacy team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist clinical pharmacy service to inpatients and outpatients.
  • Be responsible for a clinical area and support the Lead Clinical Pharmacist.
  • Assist in training members of the clinical team and pharmacy students.
  • Participate in weekend and on-call duties.
