A major end-of-life charity in Liverpool is looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join their IMPACT service. This permanent full-time role involves providing expert palliative and end-of-life care, collaborating with healthcare professionals, and facilitating communication for patients and their families. The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with specialized experience and knowledge of best practices in palliative care. A competitive salary and benefits are offered to successful candidates.
We are recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our IMPACT service at our hospice in Liverpool on a permanent basis.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) within the IMPACT service plays a key role in delivering expert palliative and end-of-life care across Liverpool. Working as part of an integrated hub model, the CNS provides specialist assessment, symptom management, and emotional support to patients and their families, helping them navigate complex decisions and ensuring care is delivered in line with individual preferences.
Marie Curie is the UKs leading end-of-life charity. We are the largest non-NHS provider of end-of-life care in the UK, the only provider across all 4 nations, delivering community nursing and hospice care across the country, while providing information and support on all aspects of dying, death, and bereavement. Our leading research pushes the boundaries of what we know about good end‑of‑life, and our campaigns fight for a world where everyone gets to have the best possible quality of life while living with an illness they're likely to die from.
The care and support we provide is highly valued by the people we care for and their loved ones, but at present we are only reaching around 10% of dying people at the end of life. Right now, one in four people in the UK with a terminal illness, do not get the care or support they deserve at the end of their lives.
Contract: Permanent Full‑Time
Salary: £38,682 - £46,580 per annum (pro rata), plus a whole range of Marie Curie employee benefits
Location: Liverpool Hospice
Key highlights:
This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse with advanced knowledge of palliative care, strong communication skills, and a passion for improving end‑of‑life experiences through integrated, patient‑centred care.
