Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from instruction to resolution.
• Assist senior fee earners on substantial and complex matters.
• Review medical records, instruct experts, and prepare chronologies.
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, instructions to Counsel, and settlement documents.
• Attend conferences, mediations, and hearings as required.
• Liaise with clients, experts, Counsel, opponents, and the Court professionally and promptly.
• Maintain accurate digital case records using the firm's case management system.
• Monitor limitation periods and procedural deadlines.
• Undertake legal research to support case strategy.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm standards.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose

You will act as a fee earner within the Clinical Negligence team, managing your own caseload with appropriate supervision, while assisting senior lawyers on complex and high-value matters. The role involves delivering outstanding client care, progressing claims efficiently, and contributing to the continued success of the department.

Legal and Case Management

• Manage a caseload of clinical negligence claims from instruction to resolution
• Assist senior fee earners on substantial and complex matters
• Review medical records, instruct experts, and prepare chronologies
• Draft pleadings, witness statements, instructions to Counsel, and settlement documents
• Attend conferences, mediations, and hearings as required
