Job description
Job Summary

Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Vascular Surgery at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).

This post is available from 02 May 2026 for 12 months in the first instance.

Main Duties
  • Gain experience in a high‑volume tertiary Vascular Unit.
  • Involvement in the diabetic foot service, complex aneurysm programme and the delivery of the deep venous stent programme.
  • Management of patients in ward, outpatient and theatre settings.
  • Encouraged to initiate and complete a research or audit project to enhance CV and clinical experience.
  • Work within CUH’s comprehensive specialist services in all fields of Vascular Surgery and the regional Major Trauma Centre.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Evidence of achievement of Core Surgical training.
  • Full registration with and a licence to practice with the General Medical Council at time of application.
  • Demonstrable English communication skills in line with GMC Good Medical Practice (2013).
  • Non‑UK applicants must hold an IELTS or OET score before obtaining a GMC licence.
  • Applicants requiring a skilled worker visa must provide a criminal record certificate for each country where they have lived continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years.
  • Applicants must present a UK professional registration.
Contract and Salary
  • Salary: £65,048 to £73,992 per annum, pro rata.
  • Contract: Fixed‑term, 12 months.
  • Working pattern: Full‑time.
  • Locations: Addenbrooke's Hospital, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 0QQ.
