Job Summary

Applications are invited for posts of Clinical Fellow (Core) in Neonatal Intensive Care. These posts are available to commence on 02 March 2026 until 06 September 2026 for 6 months in the first instance with the possibility of extension to 12 months.

These posts offer the opportunity to work in our large tertiary neonatal intensive care unit and for applicants to gain experience in all aspects of neonatal care.

The Neonatal service offers the full range of Neonatal intensive care facilities including neonatal surgery, neonatal neurosurgery and neonatal neurocritical care. There are approximately 6,000 deliveries per year. The neonatal unit has 40 cots, 26 intensive and high dependency care and 12 special care cots as well as a further 12 transitional care cots on Charles Wolfson Ward.

The posts offer training and experience identical to those of level 1 Specialty Trainees. You will have the opportunity to join in the wide range of educational and training opportunities within NICU which match those of recognised training posts.

Main Duties

These posts are particularly suited to those wishing to gain experience at tier 1 level in a centre of excellence. More detailed information can be found in the attached Job Description.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

About Us
