A leading healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Band 6 Clinical Educator to enhance education and training within the Children's Professional Development Team at Leeds Children's Hospital. This role focuses on overseeing professional development, supporting clinical staff in their education, and ensuring quality assurance in educational delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in Paediatric Nursing, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate others. A registered nurse qualification is required, along with leadership expertise.
Anexciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Clinical Educator within theChildrens Professional Development Team within the Paediatric EducationCentre for a substantive post. The focus of this role will be driving qualityand service improvement within the Leeds Childrens Hospital (LCH) througheducation, mandatory training, priority training and professional developmenteducation. The applicant should possess excellent organisational skills andbe highly motivated with the ability to motivate and inspire others throughthe creation of an innovative culture of education and the ability to developand implement strategy to achieve this. Applicants must be able todemonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to establish effectivelinks with the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
Thesuccessful applicant must possess a recognised teaching/assessmentqualification and significant experience of working clinically in LCH, havingan understanding of how the service runs.
Experiencein education and teaching is desirable. The candidate will have theopportunity to bring their own ideas to improve education and staffdevelopment across LCH.

Thepost holder would be responsible for overseeing and facilitating inductiontraining and annual update training for new starters and existing staffincluding all Registered Nurses, Registered Nursing Associates andNon-Registered clinical facing staff.You will be responsible for providing quality assurance of teachingcontent, competency packages and online learning. The post holder will berequired to keep an audit trail of training provided across LCH.
Additionalaspects of the role will include working with the Childrens ProfessionalDevelopment Lead and Quality Practitioners in responding to clinical audits,incidents, service improvement to ensure patient and staff safety. This postholder will need to be proactive and motivated to drive change within thewider MDT. The post holder will workwith the childrens education teams across LCH to instigate further trainingand education required for existing staff through clinical skills training.
