Job description
Overview

East London Foundation Trust are pleased to offer the opportunity for a Psychologist to join our Inpatient Services in the Luton area of the Trust. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and join the other Psychologists and Assistant Psychologists who work across our 7 adult acute psychiatric inpatient wards.

Responsibilities
  • Apply clinical and risk assessment expertise.
  • Develop formulations and care plans with service users.
  • Provide guidance and formal consultation to the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Supervise Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Psychologists.
  • Facilitate reflective practice and team formulation approaches to support staff wellbeing and promote psychological understanding of complex cases.
  • Work as part of 1 or 2 ward teams, with potential involvement across wards as appropriate.
  • Participate in training and CPD to support development in clinical and leadership roles.
  • Engage with the Trust\'s Quality Improvement approach and contribute to ward-based projects as a psychologist within the therapies workforce.
  • Explore community-based posts or opportunities for protected research time for those working full-time hours; consider hybrid role options and creative solutions.
