Overview

Join our dynamic Marine team at Marsh as a Client Executive, where you will play a key role in managing an allocated client account portfolio while supporting the Account Executive/Broker. You will handle your own portfolio of small to medium-sized clients and contribute to the team's overall client growth. This role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal stakeholders, delivering exceptional service in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

This role will be based in Norwich and is a hybrid position with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships with clients, prospects, and producers to deliver exceptional service and drive growth.
  • Handle day-to-day queries, renewals, amendments, and mid-term adjustments for your allocated client portfolio.
  • Coordinate the production and quality assurance of client deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with underwriters (P&I clubs) and liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure excellent client service.
  • Supervise and support client managers in their daily activities and collaborate across the marine department and wider company.
What you need to have
  • Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in a Client Executive or similar client-facing role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence to advise and negotiate.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven ability to build, manage, and develop relationships.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

  • Background in P&I insurance or other marine insurance lines.
  • Experience in training or mentoring junior team members.
  • Knowledge of marine market conditions and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work flexibly when needed.
  • A collaborative mindset with a strong desire to develop your skill set and understand client risks and exposures.
  • ACII part or fully qualified or working towards it (or equivalent).
