Job summary

A local educational authority in Devon is seeking a motivated and reliable cleaner for a part-time, permanent role of 10 hours per week. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, and outside areas to support a safe learning environment for students. Previous experience is preferred but not required as full training will be provided. Candidates must have the ability to work independently and fluently communicate in English. Enhanced DBS disclosure is required for this position.

Job description

This is a part time, permanent position working 10 hours per week, 42 weeks per year.

Our friendly school community is looking for a motivated and reliable cleaner to join our hardworking and dedicated premises team.

You will be required to undertake the cleaning of buildings within the school site. The areas include classrooms, offices, toilets and outside areas to ensure a clean and safe learning environment for our children.

Duties
  • Cleaning
  • Washing
  • Sweeping
  • Vacuuming dusting of classroom and emptying of bins
  • Use of machinery in cleaning soft and hard surfaces, carpet cleaners

You will work during the evening alongside our experienced cleaner and split the cleaning of the school between you.

Previous experience and knowledge of COSHH would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given to the right candidate.

This role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.
