Full time salary: £23,557 per annum
Actual salary: £9550.14 per annum, based on 15 hours per week
Hours: 15 per week

The role:

Do you want to help us ensure Pelhams Park Leisure Centre is kept clean and tidy? If so, we are looking for a part time cleaner to join our team. Located in Kinson (North Bournemouth), Pelhams is operated by the registered charity BH Live in partnership with BCP Council. A vibrant community hub, the team at Pelhams works closely with the local community and health groups to provide fitness and social activities for all. Offering high-quality fitness facilities include a recently refurbished gym with natural daylight and park views. Equipment includes Technogym’s cardio, resistance equipment for strength and toning, free weights and functional fitness space. An exercise referral team provides guidance and support for people recovering from an illness, injury or who are living with long term health condition. Swimming facilities include two pools with lane swimming, public swim sessions, and pool-based swim lessons. There is also a sauna for post workout relaxation.

You will:
  • Undertake cleaning as per the cleaning schedule.
  • Complete and ensure you sign off the task list as and when jobs are completed to the required standards.
  • Ensure all cleaning materials and equipment are used and stored in line with health and safety and COSHH guidelines.
  • Ensure you comply with all health and safety requirements.
  • Attend training as and when required.
To be successful you will need:
  • A good knowledge of cleaning procedures.
  • To be proactive, self-motivated and flexible.
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment.

Due to the nature of our business hours of work will include weekends, bank holidays and evenings aligned to the centres opening hours.
