Classroom Care Assistant

Darlington.

£85-£95 per day.

Start: January 2026.

The Role

As a Classroom Care Assistant, your primary responsibility is to provide essential support to students within our EYFS and Primary SEND Schools. You will assist with personal care, and hygiene, administer medications, and ensure a safe and nurturing environment. Additionally, you'll collaborate with teachers, implement behaviour management strategies, and contribute to maintaining accurate records. Your empathy, effective communication, and adaptability will be key assets in fostering student well‑being and academic progress.

Requirements
  • Have relevant experience of working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
  • Be resilient and able to meet the demands of a special school setting.
  • Understands the needs of students with learning difficulties.
  • Be reliable in both attendance and punctuality.
  • Drive or be willing to use public transport.
