Job Purpose

Our Garage Services Drivers carry out the collection of filter bins, battery banks, anti-freeze, contaminated fuel, rag bins, etc. from businesses and automotive sources whilst promoting the Slicker workplace values. We are currently looking for a Driver to be based at our Trafford Park Transfer station site. We are Smart, Honest, and Reliable, working Together whilst having Fun.

Main Tasks and responsibilities
  • Driving an 18 tonne box van
  • Manual transportation of garage waste
  • Loading and offloading of vehicle, multi drops and collections
  • Completion of all relevant paperwork, i.e. EA notes, delivery notes
  • Daily defect reporting
  • Maintaining vehicles
  • Adhering to company Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Representing the company in a professional manner
  • Dealing with the public

Role requirements
  • Candidates must have the flexibility to work longer hours during busy periods and must be willing to work nights out.
  • Able to engage with colleagues and customers, and demonstrate a positive approach to customer service
  • Demonstrate the ability to achieve set daily/weekly objectives
  • Maintain resilience in a demanding role
  • Must be fit & healthy as manual work is involved
